Protecting Your Family’s Future

Nicola Westcott Will Writer

Nicola Westcott LLB

Having decided to leave practise following the birth of my son in 2009, and having taught law for a while at BPP College of Law Holborn, I set up Westcott Wills from my home in the East End of London in 2012, in order to continue to pursue a career I enjoy, but without the ties of a 9 to 5 office based job.

It had also become apparent to me through discussions with other parents in the community that writing a will was something that people found problematic, but which they all agreed was imperative, not only with regard to appointing guardians for young children, but also for securing their inheritance.

I have a degree in Law and German from the University of Wales, Swansea and I went on to complete my Legal Practice Course at the College of Law, Guildford, graduating in 2000. I trained with leading London law firm, Fladgate LLP from August 2000 to April 2003 when I qualified into the tax and private client department and worked there until November 2008. I am now practising in my home town of Bishop’s Stortford in Hertfordshire but still regularly travel into London.

Working in my own environment means that I am able to fit the work in around my children at times that are both convenient to me and to you. I can meet you either online or in the comfort of your own home. I hope that in this way I offer a relaxed, friendly and affordable, but legally valid will writing service. Making a will can be a stressful experience, but I believe that I can make the process as straightforward and relaxed as possible!

I am a member of the Society of Will Writers, follow their Code of Practice and am insured through their recommended insurers.  I have also more recently obtained my Advanced Certificate in Will Preparation from the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), which I passed with a Distinction.

Nicola Westcott - Will writer Herts

“We knew we had to make a will for the sake of our children but it was something that we had dreaded doing. We contacted Nikki of Westcott Wills to start the process. She was able to advise us on the different options and give examples of what would benefit our family the best and why. We were really impressed with the friendly, personal, yet professional service we received and we particularly liked the fact that we were allowed time to process and potentially alter the decisions that we had made before the wills were compiled. We both thoroughly recommend Westcott Wills.”
